If you are a student in a school or university and you are interested in magic, prayer, meditation and similar practices, you may want to learn how to use your knowledge to help you with your studies. This article suggests and evaluates various methods that you might use.

Magick, prayer and meditation are three ways you can use to make your life easier and happier. All of three are esoteric metaphysical mystical practices. There is a fourth practice named Theurgy but it is not evaluated here.

Why?

It is within the powers of the human spirit to change its environment psychically. There is nothing wrong with making a small change in your environment using metaphysical means, but only if your action:

  • Is not against the Absolute. In the various philosophical systems this is translated as not against the Tao, not against the will of God/Allah/YHVH or your gods and not against Nature.
  • Does not cause any pain, suffering or stress in any other being, human, animal, plant, deceased or living. Nobody should feel unhappy by the results of your magickal/metaphysical operations.

If you are a student you probably want to use metaphysical techniques to help you perform better in examinations, cancel an examination, choose the right university or science to study.

Meditation

Meditation is a powerful means by which you can realise your goals. To cause change in your environment via meditation you should have practised some meditative technique for some years first, but if you carry related knowledge and expertise from previous lives you may be successful within the very first months of your meditation sessions.

All techniques start with this procedure:

  • Start your meditation session as usual. If you have no previous experience with meditation, read the main article at Meditation.
  • Calm your muscles and your body.
  • Calm your mind. Stop thinking and enter into the deep state of meditation.

After you complete this procedure, you can continue in any of the following ways:

General: Pure will meditation

The pure will meditation method is the most powerful form of meditation. It is also the most difficult. It is a very general form of meditation which can be applied in all cases.

  • After you enter the meditative state you should stop thinking anything and stop any movements of your body. Stay calm!
  • What is your will? (You probably want to achieve better marks or have an upcoming exam cancelled).
  • Do not use any words or phrases to state your will! Do not use any visualisation. Do not even use your brain's thought. You should only use your will power.
  • Direct your will power towards your goal.
  • Finished!

Meditation for better marks

To help your brain absorb more information and learn more quickly, thus achieving better marks in your studies, you can try the techniques described here.

Visualisation

Visualisation is a technique used during meditation and is very useful whenever you wish to cause a change in your environment or within yourself. You can try two visualisations for achieving better marks in your studies.

This visualisation helps you to love reading books, makes your brain to absorb more information and causes you to learn more quickly and more easily:

  • Imagine yourself in your room reading a scientific book (or anything related to your studies).
  • Imagine that the book is full of energy or light and that it is flowing or moving towards your head.
  • The energy or light is now entering within your brain through your Ajna chakra (third eye).
  • Your head is now radiating energy and light, which is also flowing or moving inside your body.
  • Imagine that you automatically have complete knowledge of the contents of the book.
  • Imagine that, while the energy/light is still radiating from your head and body, you can talk to other people and remember whatever the book contained.
  • Imagine conservations with your teachers and yourself being able to answer any questions about the book.
  • Optionally you can use this self-suggestion phrase: "I remember everything I read with great detail" or "I can learn quickly anything I need to pass my studies".

Self-suggestion

Self-suggestion can be utilised within meditation to cause a change in your subconsciousness. You can try this during meditation:

  • Repeat a self-suggestion phrase three times: "I remember everything I read with great detail" or "I can learn quickly anything I need to pass my studies" or "I can perform with excellence in my studies".
  • After each repetition, associate the self-suggestion phrase with a sound (such as hitting your fingers on the desk or causing two of your fingers to make a sound) and/or a bodily move (such as moving your fingers or touching your nose). Perform this action (sound/move) during the meditation.
  • When you finish your meditation session, you can perform the action (sound/move) to cause your subconsciousness to remember the self-suggestion phrase and act accordingly. For example, if you programmed yourself to learn quickly by listening to the sound of your fingers hitting the desk, then you can hit the desk with your fingers (in order to make a sound) whenever you read a book related to your studies.

Meditation for cancelling an exam

There are occasions where you would be very happy to have an upcoming exam cancelled or postponed to a future date. If you think such an event would be beneficial for all of your classmates, then you can try to cause your teacher to postpone an exam.

Visualisation

There are two visualisations you can use. Choose just one.

The first is:

  • Imagine yourself.
  • Imagine that an energy or light is being formed in your Ajna chakra (third eye) as you are creating an energised thought incorporating your will for cancelling/postponing the upcoming exam. Alternative: Use your throat chakra.
  • Imagine an energetic connection between yourself and your teacher. It can be visualised as a narrow long tunnel formed of light. (Try to use your intuition to choose the right chakras to place this connection).
  • Imagine that the energised thought you created in step 2 is being transferred to your teacher through the energy tunnel.
  • Imagine that your energised thought (which represents your will of postponing the exam) is being entered in your teacher's brain through the third eye or the throat chakra.
  • Now imagine your teacher thinking of postponing the exam and actually doing it.

The second visualisation is:

  • Imagine your teacher.
  • Imagine that your teacher is having lots of work and is thinking of postponing the exam.
  • While imagining your teacher, imagine that you become very small and you travel inside your teacher's mind (or brain). Your teacher doesn't know that you are there. Being inside his mind, generate a thought in his/her mind, like this: "I want to postpone the tomorrow's exam" or "It would be better to let the students sit for the exam next week". Now return to your room and become normal-sized again.
  • Imagine your teacher actually postponing the exam.

Magick

magic is a very drastic technique for controlling your environment.

General candle magick

You can cause the powers of nature, the spirits or your gods to cause your teacher to postpone or cancel an exam you don't want to take, as long as this is the common will of all your classmates.

You can try this:

  • Use a table to lay out a number of candles. Choose the number and the colour of the candles according to your personal symbolisms. For example, use three blue candles to represent the past, the present and the future. The blue colour symbolises the knowledge. You may also use the yellow colour which symbolises the intelligence. The three candles should form an isosceles triangle.
  • Get a piece of ecological paper. It can be white or coloured. If it is coloured, assign a symbolism to its colour. For example you can use red paper because the red colour represents the power of your will.
  • Burn some incense.
  • Write what you want to achieve on the paper. If possible, use the same pen (or pencil) you use during the exams (or during the lessons/lectures).
  • Meditate or ask for help from your favourite gods. Concentrate on the candles.
  • Read three times what you wrote on the paper.
  • Place the paper on fire. Be sure to have an extinguisher near you!

Prayer

If you are religious then you surely know that prayer is a powerful means of communicating with God/Allah/YHVH (or your gods).

There are three kinds of prayer you can use:

Ancient prayer

  • Calm down your body and your mind.
  • Say a general ancient prayer.
  • While you are saying the prayer, think of your goal and how it can be achieved.

Customised prayer

  • Calm down, close your eyes and make up a customised prayer for your occasion.
  • Say your prayer.
  • Since this is a customised prayer it should already contain your wish.

Mantra-prayer

This method uses a prayer as a mantram.

  • Calm down and find a short phrase (maximum 5-6 words) which you can repeatedly say easily. It should be a phrase from an ancient prayer of your religion. Example for Orthodox Christians: Kyrie eleison.
  • Say the phrase repeatedly.
  • While you are saying the phrase, think of what you want to achieve.
