The keeper of the veil is a title given to the one who will protect the separation of realms at all costs, even the near-erasure of magic. To attempt to protect the veil between worlds by erasing magic would be a formal phenomenological paradox from the context of any reality. Note that this is a singular role and cannot be delegated; subtle forces and implications follow the title, such as the hidden cost: "... when nobody else will." This makes it easy for effects to stack, allowing a singular individual to create an army of veil mechanics through word alone. The title ensures that its author will handle transdimensional energy such that diverse forms of magic can flow freely between realms.
