In the study of magick, a construct is a series of spells that help shape a desired goal or effect.

Examples

The Door is a reality navigating framework disguised as a magical toolset.

Science

Metaphysics makes it hard to determine if the act of carrying out the scientific method is a form of imagination or creativity capable of manifesting an effect in the world. It can be hypothesized that the mere act of creating a hypothesis is a form of invention but, since methods of testing this hypothesis involve generating new types of hypotheses to test, testing any meta-hypothesis necessarily requires a science more complex than empiricism. The consistency and repeatability of a hypothesis breaks down when the act of creating a hypothesis cannot be assumed to be non-adversarial with regard to nature.

It is possible in theory to produce an organized model of intention to begin designing more complex hypotheses to test, but common academia tends to reject the notion as "pseudoscience" despite the testability of the fringe hypothesis described. However, quantum mechanics is steadily introducing scientific contexts to the notion that consciousness can help shape or guide the shaping of reality.
