Vetis
The Life Promiser,
Tempter of the Holy
Gender Male ♂

The demon Vetis is a master of deceit, bribery, and intimidation, though little is known about him. He will alternate between appearing evil and calm, even granting small bits of power as leverage. He speaks in rhymes. If you ask for his real name, he will deny and avoid the question, as he can be easily banished with it. He revels in corrupting the innocent.[1]

Vetis usually takes forms of large demonic figures, usually associated with plants or dirt, and covered in dead bodies or heads. Occasionally he has multiple arms or legs, like a spider. He can cause splinters, bruises, and burns on a victim's body, and is said to remove a person's tongue if he hates them or their words enough. He also has connections of Medieval times or the past, and rarely shows visions of himself in modern environments. He's capable of possessing a person's body with permission, and is said to commit suicide or homicide once given it.[2]

Once possessed, most attempts to exorcise him result in bodily harm or even death. To remove him, you must not speak with him, as it causes you to fall deeper under his control. It's suggested that one should not contact him without being an expert in magic or anti-demon techniques and spells, and that if he contacts you first, you should ignore him. This may cause him to leave, or make him weak and frustrated, at which point he's easy to remove.[3]
