Ra (also Re or Phra), meaning "creator", is the sun and lord of the sky in Egyptian mythology.

Mythology

His principle court is at Heliopolis. The sun god was birthed under the name of Atum, in the breast of Nun. He is the father of Shu and Tefnut.
