The Art of Memory, or ars memoria, is a blanket term covering various mnemonic techniques, but in an esoteric sense it relates to the various systems developed in the Renaissance intended to catalog the Cosmos inside its practitioner's head as a way of creating a microcosm in the mind.

The most famous developers of this technique were Giordano Bruno and Robert Fludd.
