Talk:Content Policy
sections
What sections should the policy have? I (Elseware) suggest the ones listed below, but add/change if you think you've got something better.
legal/copyright
This is the only part of policy where the administrator (Elseware) will outrule the community. Everything in the archive should be freely available for people to use in any way they choose. No copyright material unless you (a) are the copyright holder or (b) get permission from same.
Also liable material is bad!
charts and tables
Using the templates is good...
non-english content
(enochian anyone?)
Maybe that non-english words or blocks of text are fine, ie. section called "old hebrew chant" or whatever, but the text of each page should be English.
adult material
(sex, swearing violence etc)
I don't care beyond getting arrested. I host this site on a machine where I work, so nothing illegal, but beyond that I think it's up to the community to set limits. Personally I don't give a fuck if people swear.
Advanced material
Do we want to limit certain info, or put a level of caution in the page header, ie. intended for advanced students. Maybe a template which can go at the top of a page saying something like "This is an advanced technique and assumes you have already practiced X, Y and Z. Don't try to run over a tightrope with a river full of crocodiles below before you can walk"
