Project talk:Why we are using content from wikipedia

Maybe this is a dumb question--is Wikipedia happy with their content being divorced from the site? I mean, once the two entities are both editing away, the two versions slowly diverge.--Perfect Tommy 02:52, 6 Sep 2003 (BST)

Yeah, I checked it carefully. They make info available under GNU Free Documentation License and so are we. We have to make the source of any edited versions available (ie. "click edit"). The text which I'm inserting at the top of the copied articles is boilerplate from their own site.

Also, I think the articles should diverge. The wikipedia is an encylopedia with the intention of maintaining a neutral point of view. There articles make good starting poings which I hope will be fleshed out with colour, opinion and hearsay *grin*.
