Goraknath

Goraknath, a disciple of Matsyendranath is often said to be the "father" of Hatha Yoga and a number of tantric texts are attributed to him.

Goraknath has become a legendary figure, sometimes worshipped (particularly in Nepal) as an avatar of Shiva. There is a wide variety of folk tales expounding the adventures of Goraknath and his master, Matsyendranath.
