Kanphata

The Kanphatas ("split-ears" - kan = 'ear' & phata = 'split') are a subdivision of the Natha samprayada - so-called due to their practice of wearing large rings in their earlobes. The Kanphatas are said to be one of the lineages founded by Goraknath.
