Luck (also known as fortune) is a perceived predisposition toward certain outcomes. In superstition, luck is a force (like karma) which can be appeased or agitated by seemingly unrelated actions (e.g. walking under a ladder resulting in the rest of the day being worse than usual). Luck generally takes one of two forms, "good" luck and "bad" luck.
