The term siddhi means "achievement". In earlier tantric traditions, the siddhis were magical powers (aquired through ritual practice) such as the power of flight, or the attraction of women. In later traditions, the siddhis are related to more abstract states of consciousness, or even held to be 'distractions' to be avoided.
