For the purposes of consistency, the official para.wiki policy is to prefer the word "deity" when referring to a god(dess) or omnipresent principle. We are not interested in espousing any particular religious beliefs, and even the uncapitalized word "god" is far too overloaded as a concept to be useful. "Deity" refers to something resembling a singular entity, whereas "god" can refer to anything from an abstract concept to a physical person.
