Ramakrishna
[historical figure]
Sri Ramakrishna was a nineteenth-century (1836-1886) Bengali saint who played a major role in the reformation of modern Hinduism.
Ramakrishna is known to have spent a period practising Tantric sadhana. An account of this period is given in Jeffrey J. Kripal's contraversial book Kali's Child: The Mystical and the Erotic in the Life and Teachings of Ramakrishna.
