Kriya yoga
An advanced raja yoga meditation practice designed to speed human evolution. First brought to The West by Paramahansa Yogananda in the early 20th century. Popularized in his multi-million-copy-bestselling "Autobiography of a Yogi," in which the author claims that one practice of the kriya yoga technique, which takes about 30 seconds to perform, brings about the equivalent of one year's healthy evolution in the brain and central nervous system. One million such practices, spread out over several years, are said to bring about the equivalent of one million years of further natural evolution in a single lifetime, transforming the successful practicioner into a god.
