Metaprogramming is the act of intentionally modifying your own personality.
There are a number of different techniques. Some require the use of controlled substances. All have an element of risk.
Experimenting can be dangerous, much the same as editing your harddrive by fiddling with the ones and zeros, or fiddling with your genetics by exposing yourself to radiation. Random experimentation has a very low chance of producing desirable results.
